Looking up in Salamanca Cathedral #wwwblogs
Whenever we travel through Spain on our way to Portugal, we stay on the outskirts of Salamanca viewing the cathedral in the distance. This time we finally visited it. The new gothic cathedral in Salamanca was constructed between the 16th and the 18th centuries. It is impossible to stop your eyes ascending to the glories above you.
The old Romanesque cathedral, dating from the mid 12th century to the early 13th, can be accessed from inside the new cathedral.
A stunningly beautiful place to visit.
